Skirt Week & Link Up Party!

Wow! This week has been fun! I joined in with sweet Miss Libby at A Noble Calling and some other blogging friends to do the Week in Skirts challenge.
First, I have to say that it ended up just being me (Libby) doing this challenge. Emmy has been really focusing hard on finishing up school and graduating. So since she was just staying in, her outfits didn't veer far from t-shirts, sweatshirts, and comfy jeans! ;) Second, this challenge was...well...challenging. But only because of the cold weather that unexpectedly arrived! Leggings to the rescue!

Without further ado, I now share my outfits. Enjoy!

Shirt: ARC Thrift Store (in Colorado Springs)
Skirt: Goodwill in Edmond
Necklace: Surprise from Mommy! :)

Thursday (cold day!)
Fleece Pullover: Gift from yeeeaaars ago
Skirt: Goodwill
Snowman socks: gift
Leggings: Target

 T-shirt: Old Navy
Skirt: Grammy's closet when we "shopped" it after she went to Heaven
Shoes: My trusty Chacos

Saturday (Emily's dance performance!)
 Dress: Ross
Scarf: Emmy's closet
Cardigan: ARC thrift store

Sunday Snowy Mother's Day with delightful company!
 Blue Sweater: Old Navy
Denim Skirt: Thrift store
Leggings: Target
Cowgirl boots: I don't remember!

 Skirt: Goodwill
Belt: Clothing swap
Shirt: Old Navy

Tuesday (Today!) a.k.a. 19 Kids and Counting Day
 Skirt: Goodwill
Shirt: Old Navy

As you can see, I hit up Old Navy a lot for great deals (ever found their $1.97 clearance rack?). I also am a fan of simplicity. Pair a sold top or bottom with a print. I find that my wardrobe stretches farther with solids that I can mix and match.

Thanks again to Libby for organizing this! Now go check out the other gals who participated and get some more inspiration for incorporating skirts into our daily wardrobes!

Here's Emmy on the day she joined me. She comfort and movement are key for her! And she's rockin' that groovy Estes Park T-shirt, huh?

  1. You did a great job, even with it being a little more challenging ;) I loved all of your outfits- especially the one from today! Thanks for joining in! Hope you have a great week!

  2. I loved this! You both are gorgeous, and your outfits are very cute as well. I agree, it was challenging for me as well. I hardly ever wear skirts during the week. Glad you ladies did this challenge as well, can't wait to read more from your blog!

    1. Thanks girlie! It's a lot easier to wear skirts when the weather is warm haha! :) I'm going to hop on over and check out your blog! Can't wait!

  3. Hey there girls! I've just started reading your blog and I'm loving what I'm seeing. I'm working on a two part post for my blog right now on internal verses external beauty and the world's standards. I was wondering if you would consider writing a fun side post for modest fashion tips for looking stylish and showing your beauty without showing your body (if that makes sense). Originally I wanted to be a fashion designer who designed modest and stylish clothing lines. Although a horse riding accident and a spinal surgery ended those dreams (I could no longer keep up) this is a topic which is still near and dear to my heart, and I would love to work with you both if you would consider it! My blog is www.hopelovesliberty.com, please let me know if you would consider working with me.

    1. Hi Heather! I apologize it has taken me so long to respond to you! We've had our hands full here at college.
We are honored that you asked us to contribute to your blog! How sweet! I will send you a message ;)
